Confidentiality


All of our employees are signatory to a strict confidentiality agreement.

We recognise that many of the documents submitted to us by our clients will be of a personal nature, and therefore will be handled with care and sensitivity.

Once the client's document is received by the co-ordinator, it will be assigned to an editor in an anonymised form.

Clients' documents will not be accessible to anyone other than the co-ordinator and the editor.


Data protection and privacy

Client data will be handled in accordance with the Data Protection Act of 1998.

Client data will not be passed on to third parties under any circumstances except those required by law.


Caring for the environment

We pay for 100% carbon neutral web hosting.

We conduct almost all of our communications online, thus avoiding paper waste.

We conduct the vast majority of our advertising online, keeping paper advertising to a minimum. When we do use paper advertising, we opt for recycled paper.

Any paper that we do consume will be recycled where possible.


Editorial remit for documents constituting competitive applications to university places, jobs or other positions

With regard to this category of document, we do not and will never offer a service that involves us creating these documents from afresh.

The essential content should be the work of the client. Our editors will only alter the content insofar as this is for the purpose of improving the way the client's ideas are conveyed. The onus for original thought is therefore on the client alone.


Minimising disadvantage to those with financial difficulties

We believe in widening participation in higher education and are cognisant of the fact that some people may have difficulty affording our Personal Statement Editing Service. Therefore, as far as reasonably possible, our fees will be kept low in order that the service will not be prohibitively expensive.
